If I wasn’t an athlete, I would be…:

Having got his first chance in senior competition two years earlier, Bodi Turner had a breakout year in 2015 as he finished his first senior World Championships in 14th and secured his first World Cup podium in Sweden. He began the Olympic year on home soil competing in the national series before making it through to the semi-finals at 2016 World Championships.

Bodi made his Olympic debut in Rio and was ranked 13th after the time trial. He finished 6th, 8th and 4th in his quarter-final to miss out on the semis and finish the competition in 20th.

In 2017 he would go on to claim his first elite world plate in BMX racing, coming 6th at the World Championships in the USA.

He backed it up with a gold medal at the Crankworx mountain biking event in Whistler, Canada — a stunning victory given mountain biking is not his dedicated sport.

Bodi will once again be striving to represent Australia at Tokyo 2020 and in the meantime is committed to taking over the social media world!
